Mark Howard - Senior Scientific Lead

  • Professional bio

    I have spent thirty plus years working in nutritional biochemistry laboratories and have been involved in the research, development and provision of tests to support practitioners working in the field of nutritional and environmental medicine.  My specific interests cover the effects of diet and the environment on gut function, and exposure and accumulation of environmental toxins.

    My extensive clinical laboratory experience and relationships with leading nutritional and environmental medicine practitioners and partner laboratories, enables me to remain at the forefront of the assessment and introduction of scientifically merited novel testing solutions for exploring the impacts of Twenty-First century living on health and wellbeing.

Lucie Rooke – Lab Operations Manager

  • Professional bio

    I graduated with a BSc in biomedical science and subsequently a MSc in bioengineering. In my previous role at the UK Biocentre I led a team of over 150 scientists that were responsible for the largest Covid-19 testing operation in the UK.

    As a laboratory operations manager at VHL, I lead a lively and ambitious team working in static and mobile labs across the UK and overseas to deliver testing at scale for our customers.
